Angie Ashley

Senior Consultant

Angie is an environmental scientist and facilitator with a passion for engaging stakeholders in science-based conservation. She grew up on a tributary to the Chesapeake Bay, watching ships call on the Port of Virginia while crabbing and exploring the river. Steeped in this estuarine environment, she pursued a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland’s Center for Environmental Science and holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

Angie approaches work with a collaborative lens and has focused her career on designing and delivering consensus-based solutions through authentic stakeholder engagement, working toward positive environmental protection, conservation, and sustainability goals and outcomes. She has proven experience in leading and supporting collaborative efforts and expertise in cultivating and sustaining strong partner and client relationships. Before consulting, Angie worked at the National Aquarium, expanding their Conservation Program, and at Coastal America facilitating national partnership efforts. With extensive experience in non-profit and government sectors, she is a relationship-builder who is neither intimidated by complex problems nor afraid to experiment, except when it comes to baking.
