STAFF POSITIONS

AFFILIATE CONSULTANTS

WHAT: Council Fire partners with experienced consultants to ensure we offer the highest levels of client service and champion our mission of serving at the forefront of the sustainable business movement and helping to build an economy that works for all. Each Affiliate Consultant is critical to the shared success of Council Fire and our purpose-driven clients and their impactful projects. Our company is fully remote which enables us to assemble an unparalleled, superstar global team capable of delivering holistic, durable, and highly effective sustainability solutions. 

WHO: Our Affiliate Consultant program is for experienced consultants and we are always accepting applications from individuals with expertise in one or more of our areas of focus.  We currently have pressing needs for the following skills sets:

  • Impact Analysis & Metrics

  • Data Analysis

  • Project Management

FUTURE LEADERS PROGRAM

WHAT: We’ve created our Future Leaders Program to open a critical career pathway for diverse candidates and those historically underrepresented in the sustainability arena. The highly selective FLP offers a unique, flexible professional advancement experience, lasting up to two years, that provides inclusive learning and skill development for those seeking to overcome the high barriers to entry in the sustainability field.  FLP members are contracted on a part-time project basis, well-compensated, and work remotely to support our experts while receiving multidisciplinary content exposure, mentorship, networking, and hands-on consulting experience.  

WHO: The FLP is for early-stage career professionals, graduate or doctorate students, and career-changers transitioning into the sustainability field.

COMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIP

WHAT: Our Communications internship program hosts participants episodically throughout the year, offering an opportunity to gain hands-on, collaborative, private sector experience in sustainability-related communications while working in a supportive environment with our Creative Team.  Our approach to communications and storytelling is purpose-driven and reflects Council Fire’s culture, values, and commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Belonging. Learning experiences within the program are diverse, ranging from internal and external marketing, branding, storytelling and related areas such as business development and client service delivery.

WHO: This program is for current students and recent graduates. Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong communications background, exemplary research and writing skills, a keenness to enhance their knowledge of sustainability topics, and a history of working independently, efficiently, and at the pace of business.
